The sequence (top to bottom, dry to wet)
Clear all surfaces (5 min). Dust top to bottom — light fixtures, vents, top of mirror, shelves (5 min).
Spray shower/tub with cleaner, leave it. Spray toilet with bowl cleaner, leave it. Wipe sink and mirror (5 min).
Scrub shower (5 min). Scrub toilet (3 min). Mop floor (5 min). Refill towels and replace bathmat (2 min).
Why dry-then-wet matters
Wet dust turns into mud. Wiping a wet mirror after dust falls onto it doubles your work.
The dwell time on shower and toilet cleaner is what does the cleaning — let chemistry do the work while you handle other surfaces.
What to do every week vs every month
Weekly: shower walls, toilet, sink, mirror, floor.
Monthly: behind the toilet, baseboards, exhaust fan, the gross spot under the sink, the showerhead (white vinegar bag overnight).
People also ask
Best all-purpose product?+
Honestly: distilled vinegar in a spray bottle for everything except toilet bowls. Cheap, effective, no harsh smell.
How often should I deep clean?+
Every 2 weeks if a single bathroom serves multiple people. Monthly if it's just you.
Does the order really save time?+
Yes — about 10 minutes per session. The sequence keeps you from re-cleaning surfaces.
